Shaping the future with plastics

High-quality, attractive plastic solutions for the machine industry are becoming increasingly important. Plastic—80% recyclable—represents a growing market of the future. As a long-standing SME with around 30 employees in Thun, Bern, we are a successful plastics processor.

We are looking for a Plastics Technologist EFZ apprentice starting in the summer of 2025.

What you can expect from the job:

As a Plastics Technologist EFZ, you will manufacture plastic products. You will plan and monitor production processes and develop customer-specific applications. You will use production equipment professionally and ensure the maintenance and servicing of CNC and conventional machines, systems, and devices.

In your practical work, you will process various semi-finished plastic products and apply processes such as thermoforming. You will saw, turn, drill, mill, shape, and weld, glue plates, profiles, or pipes made of various plastics, and assemble them into finished products, devices, and equipment.

Your profile:

We are looking for flexible school leavers who are interested in the versatile field of plastics, or people who are interested in a second apprenticeship, practical training, or vocational training. For a second apprenticeship, you may be a polymechanic, model maker, or model shaper, as well as a mechanic, carpenter, model carpenter, or metalworker.

In addition to spatial awareness, you have a sense of form, proportion, and structured thinking and acting, as well as flexibility and the ability to see the big picture.
